Lucy Shires
Texture is the look and feel of a surface and in photography this is captured through pattern, colour and depth. The use of texture in her work draws attention towards the subject, which in some instances is the texture itself. Whilst textures in themselves are artful, it is often the story of the textures that adds increasing depth which is what she focuses on in her mainly in her work. She explores different angles when photographing different textures to achieve the most interesting angle. In my work I would like to explore different angles like Lucy Shires does and also look at a large range of different materials which may be interesting and inspire my final piece.
Jana Scott
Jana Scott looks at rust and other textures which share a similar colour scheme. From my research i have observed she likes to focus on the typical reds and oranges that are common around rust. Her work is suppose to emphasise beauty and colour in ordinary objects which others may overlook. I would like to in my work look at exploring different colours schemes and mayne look at my final piece being a group of interesting images which are all different but with similar colour schemes.
